Kids 4 Camping
"Kids 4 Camping" is an old dream of mine. We want parents to get involved with their kids in outdoors activities. One of the main focuses of Kids 4 Camping is education.
Kids 4 Camping is set up to educate parents and kids of all ages.
How are we doing this?
By getting parents involved! In all research we have found that when parents are actively involved with their children there is less drug abuse, teen pregnancy, problem behavior and much more. Now I know this statement is kind of a duh and you will find links at the bottom of the page for more information.
By getting parents involved and educating both parents and children about " Leave No Trace, " recycling, reuse and how they can help we can all hope for a better, greener tomorrow.

We show tips and tricks to make life a little easier on the trail or in camp. Respect for the outdoors and animals.
We are big on hunting ethics and respect for the animal. Don't take the shot unless it's a clean kill and safety are the most covered
Fishing ethics, safety and catch and release along with some tips
SAFTEY, SAFETY, SAFETY! Safe practices, safe gear and how to use it.
Just a little fun here. If they catch a fish they need to know how to cook it.
What program would be complete without a little survival training. The kids love it!
We harp on all of these in every thing we do. I mean we really get it in there!

Do I have to be a member of Noamad?
No you don't though it is recommended. It is the dues from members that make this possible.
Are we qualified to do this?
Yes, members of our team include climbing instructors, trained survival experts, trained hunter safety instructors and K-12 educators.
Where do we do this?
Right now just in Missouri. We hope as Noamad grows we can find qualified volunteers to join us in other states.
Why are we doing this?
There are a few reasons. Get kids off the couch and outside. Get parents off the couch and get outside with their kids. Promote outdoor ethics.
Much of the outdoor recreation community is getting old, like me. Outdoor recreation is a dying breed that needs to be revived. Many of today's youth have never been camping and the closest thing to a hike has been to the city park. We need to change that.
Video games are ruining our youth! OK, not really but when I was a kid, if my dad saw me sitting around watching TV or playing "Atari" on a nice day he would find something better for me to do. Out of fear of having to wash a cow or something I was never sitting around doing nothing!
